I don't understand the instructions here for embedding a link into the text of a post. I've always just written it out --- <a href=https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/pharmacy/8-drugs-trump-has-been-given-for-his-covid-19-treatment.html>sentence or phrase in text</a> But that doesn't seem to work here.
That's because of the added HTML code. The forum software will automatically make a link into a link. In other words, it will automatically make links clickable. On the other hand, https://www.beckershospitalreview.c...as-been-given-for-his-covid-19-treatment.html will work, although 8 Drugs Trump Has Been Given for His COVID-19 Treatment would look nicer. Or, for more information see the article at Becker's Hospital Review.
Well, I know that the address with no html added will be clickable. What I don't know how to do is embed it into the text, so it looks nicer. I'm a dinosaur from the primitive old days of 90's style forums, and had left the internet entirely between 2003 and 2017. So I never learned the newer, 'easier' ways to do things, which I gather are self-apparent on smartphones and whatnot, which I don't know how to use either. :-D
Don't be discouraged. Have you read through the other posts in this thread, such as the opening post and this one? In the one that I linked to in the last sentence, I use screenshots to lead you through it. I don't know how much different it might be on a tablet or smartphone because I rarely access the forum via those routes but there are others here who do.
Thanks! Will try again... treatment Nope... I can't really see the steps on the white-backgrounded screen shots, since I have to use reverse-grayscale and a 'nighttime' warm tint in order to read anything at all on a screen.
