I don't usually have to wait four months to see them Chrissy...but with the problems I was having with my heart and health and having to wait to see Specialists, etc...that's how long it took to get some answers this time. I was coming before that stuff at least every six weeks. My Honey is very good about telling me to go whenever I get lonely for them. And the trip from Lafayette to Houston and vice versa takes about 4 hours by car. It could be longer if traffic is really heavy or my daughter has to make a few stops with the grandbabies. But it's not far and I am thankful for this and that the train can take me back and forth.
Hope it's just your allergies, except for the scratchy throats that's how my Bronchitis started, so don't let it go too long before you decide to see a dr....I wish I had gone sooner. Have a good trip home... That's how long my train trip from Chicago to my daughter in dental school was...5 hrs....went fast and that was before iPads and laptops.
Thanks for your concern Chrissy...I will call my Doctor if there is any sign something else is going on...and I will recognize those signs too...as we have traveled the road together many times in the past!
Yeah, my trip isn't too bad traffic wise and I make no pit stops...Pickles can hold it...so can I. My ex wasn't that great about my going too many times so that also was a problem.
Well I had hoped I would be able to take a picture with both my little ones, but the two year old did not feel like taking her picture and she knows her own mind very well so I knew better than to try to talk her into this. So here is my grandson and me right before we left to bring me to the train station. He got his first two teeth while I was visiting and is starting to crawl and go all over the house in his walker too. So I got to be in on a lot of firsts for this big boy! The train seems to like being late coming into Houston...right now we are an hour behind schedule but between now and Lafayette we might be able to make up alot of that time. Since the train was late I was able to stop at Walgreen's not far from the station and pick me out to new books to read which my daughter treated me to. I picked "Sweet Tomorrows" by Debbie Macomber and "Crash and Burn" by Fern Michaels. I like both of these authors very much and will enjoy the gifts from my sweet daughter. Sunshine all the way to Lafayette and the train is not crowded so I have both seats to spread out and enjoy my trip home on. It's a good day for me...hope it's a good one for y'all too.
Cute pic! Have a safe trip. I used to read Fern Michaels many many years ago...is she still writing books?
Thanks, I'll have to check it out...really liked her books, but seems like it was so long ago, she must be getting up in years....as we all are, lol.
