Well while the other fella was flapping about with a sword, Harrison shot him, job done He has 'charm' which is lacking today. You have to have the charm Kalvin, which was in abundance in the old style Hollywood. Now we have mostly wooden heads - their faces don't move, they say the lines (just about) but they have no meaning, lifeless they are BTW - I have to switch off Anthony Hopkins - yuk But then if we were all of the same mind, Hopkins would have no fans at all @Kalvin Mitnic
I love Anthony Hopkins ....................I go to the cinema/theatre a few times each year, mainly with my daughters, we treat each other to a restaurant meal and a movie in turn as Christmas presents, so we get to go out together three times..............plus a few others during the year if a film is particularly good. I am not that enamoured with Hollywood fare and old movies in general, apart from a few classics, the method acting and stilted dialogue in a lot of them puts me off. I much prefer modern movies with a natural style and do not object to bad language or sex scenes if they are relevant to the storyline, because they give a sense of realism. Some of my favourite movies are French and Eastern European, my favourite actors are Julianne Moore, Juliet Binoche, Meryl Streep, Javier Badem, Nicole Kidman, Ryan Gosling, Irene Jacob, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Caine and many more
