I saw the Sonoma county (I think) is banning small-scale livestock operations to include backyard poultry. The big guys are being allowed, since they are bigger political donors. It seems the war on providing your own food is on in parts of California.

Elon musk has just announced that he is moving Twitter (X) headquarters from San Francisco to Austin, Texas, and Space X headquarters to Starbase, Texas, and all of them out of California. He also said some of the other Silicon Valley enterprises maybe moving out of California as well.
Newsom is about to be hated even more than he already is.

A friend of mine moved back home after ten years out there. IMO, family played a part in it but, ....... he did say the politics / taxes / zoning, etc. motivated him even more.

Did you post this back in August Yvonne? I never saw it, but did Elon get the heck out of CA, what a mess it is. Of course, now that I'm back in my Home Sate of Oregon, it's not much better up in Portland/Salem, and of course pretty bad for the rest of Oregon do to an influx of homeless (possibly harris/biden "recruits").

This guy talks a lot about he and his wifes travels to meet with farmers, including the very, small-scale operations like growing a pumpkin in your back-yard:( It's total bullshit what they are doing to people who have every right to produce their own food.
This guy has a lot of videos, pretty good listen:

Robert Kennedy has already started getting ready to implement better regulations for farmers, and get rid of some of the bad rules that even small farmers have to follow. Along with stoping some of the worst pesticides, and allowing more of healthy plant and animal foods. He is going to make it easier for people to be small farmers.

Here is a synopsis of what he is getting ready to do as soon as he is able to start work on it:

RFK Jr. breaks down the MAHA plan to reform USDA in 2 minutes: “We’re going to give farmers an off-ramp from the current system that destroys their health, wrecks the soil, makes Americans sick, and destroys family farms.”

    1. “We’re going to REWRITE the regulations to give smaller operators a break.”

    2. “We’re going to encourage sustainable regenerative farming that can build soil and replenish aquifers.”

    3. “We’re going to BAN the worst agricultural chemicals that are already prohibited in other countries, and we’re going to remove conflicts of interest from the USDA dietary panels and commissions.”

I'd like the choice to drink raw milk from farms of my choosing.
