Cody-----You have no idea how Financial Advisors are paid. I worked many years as a licensed degreed Financial Advisor. You assume a hell of a lot about people.
Whatever, Lon. Where you live isn't cheap, now is it?? With you posted how much it costs per month to live there, anyone can figure out something, even with the insurance paying part of it. Now, on with your question.
Well, they are paid much, much more than minimum wage! Lon, I looked this up online and, for an income of $50,000, it is 1.2% of that. They get paid pretty descent.
IOW, Lon, you make enough in retirement and much more than many Seniors do. Can we now get back to your question.........please!
Once again you are wrong. They can also be paid a hourly rate like a lawyer. a straight commission per product sale.. You are a wealth of mis information my friend.
Then tell the Internet it's wrong..........not me! I just quoted what I read. LOL And, by the way, just how many years ago did you work as a Financial Advisor? Don't you know we are now in 2021 and some things, including salaries, change?
Nothing wrong with the internet but you only used one source to find what you were looking for, but let me tell you that there are many different ways for Financial Advisors to be paid.I worked for 35 years and stay informed to this day. I just received $$ in my checking account this morning for advice that I gave before I retired.
My wife and I receive 4 stipends a month. She, her S/S benefit, me, my two corporate pensions (totalling $92 monthly (!), and my S/S benefit. Combined, we come in just under federal poverty level, and thus file no tax returns, nor pay any income tax. I vowed FOR YEARS I would achieve paying NO income tax to the Washington parasites; now, we're there. Frank
To answer Lon's query: I haven't filed a tax return in 8 years. For Cody My income is low enough that I don't have to file a tax return but I do have a financial advisor. It doesn't cost anything to hae a financial advisor. She doesn't charge anything for giving advice. She gets a commission when you buy or sell whether you follow her advice or not.
As soon as I get my 1099-R which should be soon or maybe not with the way USPS has been lately. Hmmm, I wonder if they ever thought about sending them through e-mail.
