Here is the response from Quaker Oats received today.

Thanks for letting us know about your experience with Quaker Quick Grits. I'm sorry that I took so long to send a reply to you. I'm also sorry that the lid on the container came off on separate occasions and I apologize for the mess this created for you.

I'm sending coupons to replace your purchase; they will arrive in the mail in about a week. I'm also sharing your report with our quality assurance team so I’d like to request additional information.

Good for you for letting them know. Maybe they will fix it.

Grits??????? Maybe they won't fix the oatmeal box, after all. Do you eat grits? I really, really like them with a pat of butter on top.

Grits are a regular staple for us year round and oatmeal during the winter months.

We don't see grits here in Maine very often, except at Cracker Barrel, and I think we have only one of them in the state, but I order grits with breakfast often whenever I'm somewhere that serves them.

As for Quaker Oats, they were pretty much a staple, growing up, but I don't have oatmeal much anymore. I don't hate it, but there seems to be so many better things to eat in the morning.

I figured they would if you sent them your experience. :D Most companies will send free product coupons by just sending them a request. There was a story about a lady online a few years ago who send out over 100 letters for fun. She had to pay for the stamps, but almost all of them sent her free product coupons.

I don't like the new ring on the oatmeal box.

I usually hold the box and pull the ring with a kitchen towel.
Many things hurt my fingers now that I'm not young.

Grits.....also known as Georgia Ice Cream. I think it was Jake Vest who said, "If you don't like grits, how come you ordered breakfast?"
