    @Sir Walter Pasty
    Welcome to "the place"! The "vibe" here, if I may say so and remain relatively unscathed as a result, is admirably coalescent, a word I have no clue as to it's meaning, thus hoping my audacity may be excused. Mostly it is. At that other seniors forum, it was not. However, that means not, that I have become less reluctant to start trouble, more "mellow", or understanding.

    I have found everybody here to be very civil. I was attacked by one person a while back, but she has not re-appeared and other than her, I have been tolerated. I think "hounding" a person from one thread to another is frowned upon, but most opinions are tolerated here.

    So, you're asking to be excused for not knowing what you're talking about Frank?

    "a word I have no clue as to it's meaning, thus hoping my audacity may be excused."

    It was mainly inappropriate PM's that got you kicked out.

    @Don Alaska "...... most opinions are tolerated here."

    Openly, yes. Privately, never most, IMO. But, so what? There are a whole lot of opinions of my own which remain confined with me in my "bottle".

    I don't understand, @Frank Sanoica. We all keep secrets "in a bottle". As I have said, I am quite a private person, but I have seen very little here that was censored, and the only person I know that I have trouble with you already knew about. I don't know who you have problems with. Don't say anything deliberately intended to hurt or attack someone cruelly or maliciously.

    I did say MOST, not all

    I, too, don't understand. However, I HAVE learned not to attack one's self!

    I imagine most contributors have been warned off, because litigation is the twenty first century plague and moderators are vulnerable. Many years ago, here in Britain we had a site for the over fifties that glowed with rage and personal attack; it was great and snowflakes had to accept criticism. When you have reached fifty, unless you have lived in a monastery, life has thrown everything at you.
    It's sad and don't let me catch you picking your nose in public.

    No it wasn't great it was horrible in the end . Even the mods had cliques and took sides. Fair enough if you dive into an argument and get back what you give out but that site had poison personalities who attacked everyone and anyone in cliques, and stalked them around the site when they found someone they could bully until they felt forced to leave. It was disgraceful the way the Mods behaved siding half the time with the bullies, and then ultimately when it started to go down the pan because it was filled with vipers, the mods were banning people ...decent good long standing posters .. for simple comments like mentioning the weather forecast ( I know because I was one of them) and the bullies were left to bully until the day the site died a horrible death.

    Yes there were some grim characters and I had a battering but compared with life it was just an outlet for angst. I often pictured those sadistic little men being given an hour on the lap top by tyrannical wives who made them wash up using cheap washing up liquid.
    My biggest gripe was the little bunch of supercilious characters who hogged the threads.

    I know where the vast majority went, but there are a few scattered around being banned from lots of other forums to this day ....
