My walmart order was missing my apples, so we stopped at Aldi on the way home today. I was hoping they might have fruit cake somewhere in the store and was looking for that (fruitlessly, I might add), and came across a loaf of bread called “gingerbread”; so I bought a loaf for us to try. It is actually really good ! It is not quite cake, like regular gingerbread, and not quite bread either, but kind of one of those breakfast breads, and has all of the gingerbread flavoring, and Bobby and I both said that it was pretty darn good. He thinks maybe even better with peanut butter on it, and i think that he is right, although I did suggest that he could make a nice salami sandwich with it. And, just to add, my quest for apples was fruitful.
