@Shirley Martin You may not get the Maine freeze, but it does snow quite a bit in North Carolina doesn't it?
We get a flurry once a decade. :D

what only 10 feet of Maine?... does it always fall in the same street or does no-one know where that 10 feet of snow is going to land every year? does everyone fight over who is going to be the one to sweep it up?

No, we rarely get snow. It snowed here sometime in early December last year and we didn't get more snow all winter. When we do get snow, it is usually gone the next day.

My snow covered rose last Dec. 9:

Throughout Maine, yes. Although we are closer to the middle of the state, they frequently get more snow in Southern Maine than we get here, though. We will probably get some snow anytime now, but it will melt. Sometime in November, it will be here to stay until April or May.

Have to apologize to Cody....Sorry, no more snow yet, i could see if i can get some hauled in........NOT.......I can wait. We've actually had some beautiful days this week. Good amount of sun, a couple of nights of -5 to-7, took care of the leaves on the trees, don't have any trees in my backyard, but full of leaves, :(:(:(:(:(, thanks to my neighbours, thinking i should use my blower and send them back, they might be missing them. We've also have had beautiful star filled sky nights, i could watch that forever. :).

Day all booked up with appointments with the snow shovel, fluffy stuff, not too bad. Found a new type of snow blower, cheap, but hard on treats. Three Corgis, action photos, Corgi love.jpeg

The little town of Leavenworth , in the Cascade Mountain range in Washington State. I have worked up in this area when I was an insurance agent, and in the wintertime, the snow gets really deep, and a lot of blizzards

I've always wanted to visit Leavenworth, but never got around to it. I seems to be a delightful area in any season.
