Right now a discussion is going on about the massive amount of catalytic converters being stolen off autos...My daughter had one stolen from her auto in her garage, about 5 yrs ago, so it's been going on for some time.....yes probably more illegals doing their jobs.... So much of what Trump spouted about them is so true.
I just hear an economist predict hyperinflation for the U.S. by the fall of this year. He has been right is predictions almost to the letter in the past. He predicted a bank crash in the spring of 2023 back in October of 2022. He says the first to go will be private pension funds. There is an acceleration of bankruptcies of pension funds already and it is predicted to accelerate as more and more corporations start to fail. We'll see what happens, but this guy says things will continue to worsen despite what we are being told. In addition to the "outlawing of gas stoves" Biden is trying to get through, I saw that some Canadian provinces are outlawing food exports, especially seed potatoes so people won't be able to grow their own potatoes, a real survival food. Prince Edward Island was the first to be affected. Maybe some of our Canadian members know about this. I haven't yet seen similar actions in the U.S., but Canada is often the test ground, as is California, for things the Federal Government is about to inflict upon us. Buckle your seat belts, folks.
Who is the guy you’ve been hearing talk about that? I’ve been reading on this guy’s website, Martin Armstrong, for a while. Finance, economics is like hieroglyphics to me but the one thing that caught my interest with Armstrong’s site is that he developed a global economic analysis A.I. (he named it Socrates) which has revealed complicated but repeating, economic cycles and he (or rather Socrates) is predicting a huge mess with near total collapse by 2032.
Socrates is rather well know, but I don't know how accurate the predictions are. Everybody points out their successes in predicting, but they never tell you how many times they missed.
I like to know what's going on but, at the same time, I don't want to drown in the news that's going to keep me in a bad mood all day. More than anything else, that's why my wife and I are on different levels of the house while we're awake. She watches news and political stuff non-stop and that, particularly the political stuff, drives me batty, so I watch camping and hiking podcasts, serial killer documentaries, body language stuff, and sometimes just podcasts of someone who is mowing lawns. I don't spend a lot of time listening to Republicans ranting about stuff they're not going to do a damned thing about.
OMG, welcome to my world. My husband is downstairs with Fox News; I'm upstairs watching cooking shows. If we lived in a smaller house we'd have to get divorced.
That is how it is in our house, too ! Bobby is outside on the front porch because he smokes a lot, and I am inside . I check news on Twitter and that is about it except for a few youtube videos that I enjoy watching for news. Otherwise, I am watching videos or reading about my kombucha, yogurt, kefir, or other fermenting projects, and watching youtube videos of horses. Sometimes, separate togetherness is a good thing…..
My TV likes are very narrow. I watch Duck Commander, Ice Road Truckers, Westerns on GRIT. Lately I have tuned in some other old series channels that play all the old 50s black n white shows. It runs in the background while I do my computer stuff and same programs after dark... The Big Bang, Young Sheldon and by that time I'm ready to go to sleep.
As if we didn’t have enough to think about, I heard a splash of news that said there’s a group of women and men who are trying to get the 19th Amendment repealed. The women are willing to sacrifice their vote so the liberal women and trans folks won’t be able to continue voting for woke sympathizers. Uh….it ain’t gonna fly…..trust me.
Good morning to all- Yes, I do believe you're missing something. The sun comes up each day, and we get to see it and move on with our lives. What goes on in the wide world which does not contact me, I have no interest in. Children are growing and learning, and most will do just fine in their lives. Is there misery in the world? of course, always will be. But there is also so much joy. It's there- look for it. Since I spend almost no time sitting begore a TV screen, the bad things that happen and which make up so much of TV time don't exist for me. I walk out and see the world. Much better, I find. you all be safe and keep well- Ed
Good news this morning, a federal appeals court struck down biden's attempt to force inject workers. They simply told the halfwit he does not have the authority. I love it when it is said so gracefully to his face. Since when did the King die and that halfwit become the new King. I like watching his trips on AF-1, I don't want to miss him tumbling down those long stair steps like a soccer ball. He arrived in Canada to talk to that other communist wuss and the talk as I understand it will cost us an arm and leg at the Canadian border stopping illegals crossing to Canada. Like he's doing a great job keeping our border safe. The level of BS is getting to deep to walk in.
I’ve wondered about that too. It’s hard enough for me to make sense of this stuff, much less be able to critique it in a meaningful way. I, and my wife, no longer watch any broadcast news. We read various things on line, taken with a grain of salt. I usually have a look at The Bongino Report once every morning because I got to know him just a bit when he was in Maryland, and was trying to help fight against anti-gun legislation out of Annapolis, and came to respect his opinion. https://bonginoreport.com/
