@Ken Anderson What would you suppose a lot of doctors keep in their portfolios of securities, investment-wise? Frank
I am going to the University hospital as part of a medical study tommorrow. Fortunately, there is no "stress test' involved. I am sure it will be fine Chrissy. The anticipation seems to always be worse than the actual test itself. Good Luck, I am sure that it will go as expected, and no problems will be found, that you don't know about anyway.
Saying more prayers for you today, that things will go well, that they find any problems , and that you are able to go through the tests and not be worried. Let us know how everything goes when you are back home again and recuperated from the long day at the doctor's office, @Chrissy Page .
Thanks, I'm kind of anxious now, feeling light headed....one of my signs. I still have at least 3 hours at home before I have to leave. Also had a horrible night sleep wise. Maybe after I shower, I'll start tapping.
A few years ago, due to a light heart mumur that I first found out about after my physical for Navy enlistment in 1969, my VA Medical was going to have me take a Stress Test. I never had it done. Now, today, when my wife was seeing here doctor for regular exam, we (I was with her) told him about some chest pain (by her heart) that she had gotten. The pain was short-lived, but still happened. He recommended a Stress Test b/c she is a Diabetic ll. So, he is sitting it up and I will go with her when she has it. Oh, of all the ailments and meds a person has to put up with/take after 60.
Yep, it's all starting. Hopefully my Pap smear was ok because it's been 3 weeks and nobody has called me. I'm just worried that this test will lead to looking at my lungs and on and on. A year ago the stress test would have been a piece of cake but I've been very inactive this past year and this past month was the worst. After my mom died, I kind of vegetated in the recliner. I'm worried about COPD since that was basically the reason my mom died. Emphysema and finally respiratory failure and she quit smoking when she was 40.
You'll do okay Chrissy. They 'll get some numbers and evaluate them and give you the results, sooner or later.
I'm fine, not a thing wrong with my heart. Right Bundle Branch Block is my normal or baseline. Pap smear was ok also. Thought the last 20 secs would kill me but I did it. Had to get a little past 133 heart rate. Very nice tech, talked me through it and said I have the prettiest eyes. It was a female. She also talked politics, asked if I watched the RNC? She's an independent and is voting Trump.
Thanks, I'm so happy! Also glad now that the EKG was abnormal because know I know my hearts in good shape.
I had the echo first and btw that hurt when she pushed those things in me. Then I had to get on the treadmill and then back on the table for more echocardiogram pics. It was hard when I had to breathe out and hold it because I was out of breath.
I wouldn't worry about what to wear, except tennies are good on the treadmill. They WILL NOT make it go to fast, and they are right with you. It's a breeze Chrissy. Also, it is a worthwhile thing. They need to do some tests to eliminate possible causes. I can tell you I have proved to myself stress can cause a lot of weird things. I work on doing anything that relieves stress, anything I can do at all. I even figured out I can work myself right into a hotflash, lol! Let us know when you find out. It feels good just to find out what it "isn't". Also, if it's something, then you can have some options on what to do. Ignoring it can be the worst thing hugs, and I'm with you in spirit, Denise PS Don't forget I've had 3 pacemakers, and lots of tests, and here I am, bionic, and doing great
