Read the whole post, it's over! Nothing wrong with my heart.

What caused you to get tested or get a pacemaker, was it an abnormal EKG?

Oh geez, ok. I have a 3rd Degree AV Node block, and the first symptom was I couldn't make it up the stairs at Nike where I was working. I found out my heart wouldn't go over 40 bpm's so had to get a pacemaker.

Thanks Ken! It sure is. I slept til 6:00 am today and that's sleeping in for me. I've never gotten up so late. :)

I also did take a quick peek at it and I could hear it and it was beating loud and strong!

Thanks, Kitty...so am I. I still have more medicare wellness tests to do but this was a scary one because it was the result of an abnormal EKG and my mind goes to the worst possible scenario.

Before I even do the test my mind is planning what I will do with my dog while I'm in the hospital having a quadruple bypass. :)

I understand your worry over pets. My cats are always the first concern.

It is a concern, especially if you live alone. My daughter lives about a 3 hr drive from me, so if something did happen to me, she'd have to come and get my dog but they were in Maui and just returning today, so
I better start thinking of some other options. Most of my neighbors all have dogs and cats or both and I don't know how well Pickles would do with unknown people and animals.
I've thought of putting a note in my wallet near my DL in case I'm in an accident notifying whoever found me that I have a dog at home.

Have no idea how long a pet can be home alone without access to food and more water than what's in his bowl.
