Our family is scattered too, we have a son in Texas, two daughters in Georgia. Grand kids and great grands spread out over these two states.

I hope the price of gasoline doesn't keep you from making the trip, Al. We'll be putting tires on the motorhome and heading out for a few places this summer. The good thing about high fuel prices is that campgrounds will be empty. :D

When it's time to go I don't care what the price is I'm going....I don't have that much time left to enjoy my life.

I am going to see one of my sons and his son when spring arrives. They're in PA so that will be a week-end trip. The grandaughter that live in Texas will have to tell me when it's not too oppressive in order for me to visit...Above 78 degrees and I wilt

Hope you get to see your granddaughter soon. I have 5 great grands I have never seen in person; 3 in Texas and 2 in Georgia.

Who I have 12 grands and 13 greats I think, haven't counted lately, and one is expecting now. Since we have been in pandemic haven't seen any new great grands.

What part of Texas, Al? The heat gets oppressive in Houston by May.

Keep in mind that i have a huge travelin'-bone but, IMO If ya can travel .... do it !

Just pull out of your drive, turn left or right ... and see where it takes ya.

As far asI know every state that I want to go to in free of any mandates. If they're not I'm going to be in trouble because once I've decided that it's time to go, I'm going...I'm just waiting for good weather to get out.

We would like to travel, but I just don't know. We cannot drive out, as wife and I are not vaxxed (Canada), and we would either have to get vaxxed or take the ferry, which is now VERY expensive. Flying out is a nuisance, but is the only practical way to go, then we have to rent a car. I got my wife hooked on trains, and they are now our favorite way to travel long distances, but mask mandates on the trains take all the fun out of it. One of our sons is considering buying a farm and putting an in-laws house on it in Missouri, but that would be for winter and I don't know if that will get done.
