(p.s. even the role of cholesterol was falsified in the media by medical and scientific sources. Why? It was very profitable to do so.... and continues to be... )

Unrelated to the role of cholesterol, but significant for anyone pursuing an avenue of healthy living,
this may be a bread crumb... historically ....

"Long before the medical establishment acknowledged that something as simple as diet might be causing serious illnesses, Pritikin had created a scientifically sound program using food and exercise as medicine. This revolutionary departure from the flawed theories of the 1950s caused him to become a public enemy of the medical establishment. Nathan Pritikin’s healthy diet program did more than reverse heart disease. Patients who came to his clinic often saw their type 2 diabetes, arthritis, and hypertension disappear.29,30

Despite these clinical successes, Nathan Pritikin was ceaselessly attacked by doctors as being a charlatan. For much of the 1970s, Nathan Pritikin waged a public battle with government and private health agencies, as well as with the American Medical Association. The medical establishment doggedly refused to accept that what one ate had anything to do with their risk of heart disease.

Pritikin was so confident that he was reversing heart disease with healthy diets that he ordered his own body autopsied after his death. Almost 30 years after being diagnosed with irreversible coronary artery disease, the autopsy showed his arteries were akin to those of a young man and clear of any signs of heart disease.31

In 1987, two years after Nathan Pritikin’s death, the Journal of the American Medical Association announced a study that showed regression of atherosclerosis in the coronary arteries of humans who reduced their blood cholesterol by a similar degree as were accomplished at the Pritikin Longevity Centers.32 Numerous subsequent studies confirmed that Nathan Pritikin was scientifically correct…and the medical establishment’s position fatally flawed.33-36

Tens of millions of Americans needlessly perished because the role of cholesterol in causing heart disease was not recognized nearly as early as it should have been."

Totally agree, exercise and a healthy diet are key factors to.a healthy existence. Meditation included in the ability to reduce stress.
Sources of cholesterol in your diet are:
    • sweet treats and pastries such as donuts, cakes, and cookies
    • red meat, fatty meat, and highly processed meat
    • shortening, lard, tallow
    • many fried foods
    • whole-fat dairy products such as milk, butter, cheese and cream.
    Healthier options
    • oats and oat bran
    • barley and other whole grains
    • beans and lentils including navy, kidney, garbanzo, and black-eyed peas
    • nuts, including walnuts, peanuts, and almonds
    • citrus fruits, apples, strawberries, and grapes
    • okra and eggplant
    • soybeans
    • fatty fish such as sardines, mackerel, and salmon
    • olive oil
This is just a general overview...no hard and fast rules. This is what I like to follow as often as I can. OR everything in moderation.

I don't know.........George Burns lived to be 100 years old and was almost always seen smoking a cigar. Dean Martin lived to be 78 and, from being on stage most of the time smoking a cigarette and a drink, probably lucky he lived to be 78. But, he did! In general, all of the Rat Pack smoked and drank. They didn't go to fitness centers, because there were none.

    Hey Herb and Cody,

My mother lived to be 90 , and she always said her good health was due to the good food she ate in her time...best of cheeses, etc...

Absolutely, everything in moderation...but the smokers and drinkers most likely put others in their grave first before themselves!

I hate Budweiser, but sure like barley soup!!

Before it became a money maker for moneymongers profit and glory seekers, cholesterol was not even a thought nor a worry nor a cause of any problem.....

    Right.
    Yes, That's Right.

A few later get resurrected to eternal Joy, Peace, and Righteousness with the Father ....

but every one here is appointed to die.....

Jesus basically says those who enjoy the good times" on earth, suffer later... those who suffer now, may be comforted and rejoice later.

I love homemade barley soup and chili. Budweiser gets lost in the chilli and adds so much flavor to it. :)
