We’re sort of passive members, mainly because my wife found a really good supplemental plan through them with United Healthcare when we started on Medicare. We’ve used their discounts a few times. Their publications sometimes have some interesting articles.
I have been an AARP member. I don't like the political agendas they push so I quit after a couple of years. Then, my wife joined AARP because their Medicare supplement plan worked well with the medications she was taking at the time, and a membership for both of us came with her membership. She's not taking all those meds anymore and is on a different plan, so I don't know if my membership is still current.
