When it comes to the ballot for president in the general election in November, no one is ever going to appear under either of the only two viable political parties who is not either a powerful person or someone controlled by powerful people. No one else will have even a hope of gaining enough name recognition to proceed that far. With few exceptions, the United States has been an aristocracy from the start, saved from being something worse only because of the three branches of government, but regular people rarely, if ever, get that far, even in the other branches of government. Unless you have power or you are owned by someone who has power, no one will know your name when it comes to election day.
