Hi Joan, yes, I really think JD could be our next President, after President Trump. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have someone good come in for our side in 2028? I just went down to Republican Party Headquarters, and my ballot is in the dropbox at the courthouse and will be counted right there, no Usps involved. Felt too weird entrusting them with my ballot since they endorsed Harris :(
Good to meet you btw, maybe you aren't new but I hadn't been on here a lot until recently. Lots of great folks here, denise

That is generally the plan. The VP slot is usually used to set someone up to succeed the sitting President except in cases where it is specifically NOT like Dick Cheney or when they poop in their soup like Mike Pence. I assume Vance was chosen with that in mind.

absolutely President Trump was talking about it before we knew who his pick would be ;) I don't know who all was advising him, but he, I'm certain, made his own choice, and looks like a winner for sure. It sure wasn't based on any race, gender, but on the most he felt qualified to do the job.
I should have added Trump said most qualified to run the country. He said something like that and then added because we never know what will come. I think JD will be the best "apprentice" Trump ever had ;)

Great to meet you Denise. I joined years ago and then stopped posting on boards.... Recently I found myself stuck on a left-leaning board that was annoying me and I wanted conservative voices..As I researched I found this again and was delighted to be back!
I am liking Vance more and more..Usha is a delight!

Hi Joan, I like his wife too, I think she is also very genuine. I know what you mean, wanting to be around more conservative voices. I'm glad you are here, Denise ;)

I am reading that JD Vance will be doing the Joe Rogan interview next Wednesday, and released later next week. It looks like Harris said she’s would pnly do one hour, and Rogan had to go to her because she would not do the interview at his studios; but it is still up in the air.
Rogan has to decide if he will meet her requirements, or just insist that the program is done in his studio, like all the other interviews have been .

She initially wanted to do one hour by remote. I hope he doesn't bend over for her like the networks do. He's not a conservative by any means, but I think he has integrity. I believe Vance would do well on Rogan.

I kind of hope he doesn't kiss her butt make her do interviews the way everybody else does with Joe on the other hand I'd love to see him interview her and ask her the hard questions I'll watch either way.

I don't think Rogan would ask hard questions. He's more of a conversationalist than an interviewer. However, he would want to carry on a conversation and I don't know that Kamala is capable of that.

I think I might have misunderstood, and maybe it is to be this week instead. Doing it after the election does not really make too much sense. However, it is likely that Trump/Vance will win, and in that case, interviewing our new VP is still a good thing.

I am undecided about the Harris interview, and I think that other people (maybe including Joe Rogan) are still undecided about that, too. I know he has said that he would like to interview her, and I truly think it would show a lot more of the American people what she is really like because most of the Trump-haters would happily watch Kamala on the Rogan program.
She has never even come close to an hour interview with anyone this whole time, so if she lasts that long, and is not given the questions and teleprompter, things might go even worse than usual, even with Rogan just chatting with her.

I think that he might go there, especially if she wins, but hopefully will not agree to all of the questions and answers being scripted like her usual requirements.
If she loses, then it is probably not going to happen next week, and Tuesday was the day she was supposed to be on the program. I thought next Tuesday, but maybe it was supposed to be today.
