Many will tell you....…"just try being a Judge and see how much respect you get". Just like law enforcement, Judges get called names and then have to warn the person "keep talking like that and I'll put a Contempt of Court charge on you and cuffs as well". Judges can have a hard job.
I tend to agree with you...I think it's overkill how she acts and it's for ratings. She'll ask a question and then really doesn't let the person even answer.
Yep because she's not a circuit court judge any more, , she's a TV personality and her actions are all for the ratings
I think its a case of being absolutely fed up with the same cases and type of people She often says, don't you watch this show, meaning the amount of people that have done the same thing and yet more of them pile in - would drive me crazy, what am I saying - it does drive me crazy Also, she has read the case before aired, so she 'knows' just what's going on with most cases Anyway, each to their own - but wise she is, if only the people would 'listen' to her
Well if she acted like all other judges in real life, she wouldn't have a show.....BORING! Especially civil cases.
I do not make a point of watching her...but when I see it on, will watch most of the show. She is a hoot!
I've watched her and some of the other court shows on rare occasions. I kind of cringe watching them though and especially her. I'm always waiting for her to yell at someone because they said something she didn't like or didn't answer her in the way she wanted.
@Kitty Carmel - I think you have to get to know her, I've watched most of the shows so far I wouldn't 'judge' her on a few views The cases she presides over are enough to make anyone scream at times and once or twice I've wanted to scream at her too
I watched her for years..hardly ever missed an episode, but it got so samey...she'd shout her favourite phrase ''shoulda coulda woulda'', before someone had a chance to answer , and trot out some more oft used phrases... and I got fed up and stopped watching..
I can't say I enjoy watching Judge Judy...she's just to darn mean and such a know it all. But I can tell you if I had a legal problem I had to go to Court to settle....I would never want to have her as my Judge!
My favorites are the "she loaned me 1000 dollars. He made my car payments for me as a gift. Until they breakup. Then everyone wants their money back and it's off to court they go. All those gifts become loans. I guess on these shows, the show pays the winner if any. So no one is out money? That's been my understanding.
