Kavanaugh mother was a judge and she done a foreclose on Anita Hill parents property. Also she is a strong Democrat and was in protest parades. She claims that she can not remember where or when it happened. Could it be just vengeance for her parents
I don't know either if you can accept news reports here it is https://www.newsmax.com/politics/kavanaugh-mom-judge-foreclosure/2018/09/17/id/882098/ A lot more news medias too https://www.bing.com/search?q=Kavanaugh+mother+was+a+judge+and+she+done+a+foreclose+on+Anita+Hill
As I said, Martin, I have heard that, but I haven't accepted it as being true. Newsmax was once a fairly reliable news source, but not so much lately. I don't discount whatever they say, but that doesn't mean that I necessarily believe it.
I think Feinstein intended to use it as a delaying tactic all along, similar to an "October Surprise". It is typical Democratic strategy and very much as was done to Robert Bork and a replay of Clarence Thomas. The accuser's lawyer no says her client doesn't have to prove that it was true, it just needs an investigation. The FBI has closed their investigation and found nothing, and now it is up to the Senate investigators to find the truth. It seems that the lawyers don't understand how it works. The FBI investigates potential nominees and is part of the Executive Branch. That nominee, if cleared by the investigation, is referred to the Senate for "advice and consent". The nominee cannot be referred back to the Executive Branch by the Senate; the Senate either approves or disapproves. Of course the Dems want to get it back into the hands of the FBI, which they apparently still control, and delay the process until after the mid-terms in the hope they will take control of the Senate and stop ALL nominations by this President.
There should be a statute of limitations on this unholy mess. In Kavanaugh's case, like so many others before him, this happened many years ago, and aside from her mind, others will be foggy. I am not making light of the situation, but to wait 35 years before addressing the issue is ridiculous. From what I have read so far, was not a really a life changing incident. Had it been severe, and there had been a rape, a murder, even a fire caused by the stupidity of drunk young men, then there may be cause to bring this incident up. Once again, it is all political. I do not think bringing to light a sexual harassment case forward after this many years is the same as a sexual molestation case. I could and may rant on this later - but coffee time!
The accuser is also an activist against Trump, against border control, and other radical left causes. As is her lawyer.
A parallel would be a store owner claiming someone stole something. The police would ask what did they steal and when? I don't know they just did.
I read somewhere that her lawyer is connected to some business (Maybe nonprofit) that receives massive amount of money from George Soros. The company supposedly gets money from Soros and the lawyer gets money from them. I don't know if that's true or not. Maybe some of you can look for a link.
