I haven't been on a while lot because I've been working on getting stuff done outside before winter that I should have been working on all summer. My back landing and utility shed should be done tomorrow, weather permitting. Someone found enough of the metal roofing material that I needed, luckily the same color as I am using for the generator roof, so that's good, and I've been steadily working on the library. I have a memory foam mattress rolled up and stored there that is very much in the way of everything I want to do there. Someone told me he wanted it but I can't get him to actually come by and get it so, if it's still there after Monday, I think I'll cut it up and make some cat beds out of it. and cut the rest into segments small enough to go in the trash. So I know why I haven't posted here much (I have been checking into the forum frequently), but I don't know why everyone else has been pretty quiet over the past few days.
No one has been posting, Ken. It's been a depressing time for many so maybe that's the answer. What's to say?
True enough. I am thinking that I will put politics aside for the rest of my time here because, when you can't trust the elections, your vote is meaningless and, when that's the case, there's no point in wasting time with any of it. Surely, there are more important things; things that are real.
i've been kind of inactive for a while due to this, that, and sme other? of course I take off on a wild hair every once in a while, but I'm back, I got all the knots untied in the rope and got new shoe laces, so I'll be commenting on the writ I find here, asking, why, and other questons.
I've canceled the only two newspapers I subscribed to - the Epoch Times and the Washington Times - because I don't care, anymore.
it has been an active hurricane season. louisiana has been hammered two or three times and maybe Mobile has been affected. A hurricane tore into A couple of Central American countries. last I heard that t was headed for Cuba, and some weatherman said the now little storm called Etta or something like that, has set it's sights on Florida. has anyone heard lif this storm has picked up any speed and ia stii an active weather maker?
Well, we have been enjoying an unusually warm Indian Summer here in NJ. Another day in the upper 70s and supposed to continue for a couple of more days. It is just great to get out and sit in the sun for a couple of hours. And to walk with the dog. Although she loves the cold weather more. Odd, since she is short haired.
