Yeh, sounds like we both got stories. I gotta remember to put this stuff in the back against the wall.

I don't think it would be that hard to come up something.
Meet you at Shark Tank (you can give the pitch, I'll hand out the samples.)

I found a Cooks Illustrated video about this; they recommended this one so I put it on my wish list...

I have an older 3-stage Chef's Choice sharpener but it's at least 15 or 20 years old and doesn't have the smaller sharpening angles. It still works great for the wider-angled blades like older Wusthof knives. I read that most knife manufacturers have moved (or are moving) to the Asian-blade angles going forward.

I was never able to master using a whet stone or sharpening steels, so I like the convenience of the electric sharpeners.

I read this some time back and works for me. Cut the asparagus off at bottom in bowl..I use coffee cup - then put about 1 to 1 1/2 ozs of water in cup. Set in fridge suppose to last longer. I have not gone over 5 days. :)

Just received a set of metal canning jar funnels:

I don't like what happens to the plastic ones when I pour simmered butter through them.

Yup. Just like flowers. I jam them into a canning jar. 1# of asparagus is a tight squeeze...

I do the same, Gloria. I just don't like open containers of water in the fridge. Sometimes I cut about 1/2" off and wrap the bottom of the stems with a wet paper towel, then plastic wrap. Stand them up in the fridge.

    Wonderful, isn't it?

I guess as long as sales are good, hiring someone to clean up the language is a waste of money...kinda like McDonald's hiring a nutritionist.

I forget to mention, that trampoline I bought came with 2 Owner's Manuals: one in English and one in German. Mostly likely both were broken.

So you just had to figure out how to unfold & assemble it???

    That's pretty lame.

no problem unfolding , and only had to put legs and bar on. Only issue was on the hand bar one of the silver knob thingy did not want to go inside and click. Mark took his hand made mallet and gave it a whack.. in it went.

My new fridge has an icemaker that doesn't dispense ice but dumps into a plastic hopper thing, so we have to open the freezer and get ice cubes. I don't like pawing around in the cubes with my hands, so I ordered this little Rubbermaid scoop to leave in there...

I got the little scoop today and it's perfect for the ice bucket. I also got two Shun paring knives that are gorgeous and razor sharp, but they have a strange formaldehyde odor. What the...??? I tried washing them in warm soapy water but the smell got even worse when they were wet, even transferred to my hands. I have requested a return authorization from Cutlery and More. Dang.
