The way I deal with with everything about passing away is that every human has an expiration date so let's do things that matter while we've here.
Thanks Mary, what it would take is a Real Visit from a SuperPower....my good friend is hanging on to Javoah, she left the God theory very early in her childhhood...she gets what she needs at Kingdom Hall meetings.
I have had a pretty blessed life, but a few things have changed the direction things went. Loss of both parents in childhood was #1. The Vietnam War was #2. Meeting and marrying my wonderful wife of 46 years (so far) was #3. The birth of our 6 children added to the numbers, and, finally, moving to Alaska probably will be the last.
I consider my life pretty blessed, but purposely chose 1 husband and 1 child. Only marriage was a SHOCK when it ended and I had no desire to do it again. The man I married was allegedly the best, full of god stuff and religion and what a shocker when he got hooked in by a secretary..... Lots of BF's but no license again. Maybe 2 kids would have been nice, but I'll never know.
Not pushing but this is not a 'religious' guy. He finds God in all of us. I don't do organized religion myself for some of the same reasons as you. If God is in you, the answer is too?
The man Neale Donald Walsch is on your tube. Maybe you could go and watch some of his interviews to understand his views on God. Maybe I could find one to put on here. But I don't want to be preachy. He says we were never actually separated from God and we are all part of God and each other. We can have a wonderful relationship with him and each other and that is the way it should be. Good and bad are not opposites but on a line--a continuum. and he explains it. I have to keep reading my book of his over and over.
Oh the catholic church preached when I was growing up, god is everywhere, we are all in the likeness of god, now proof of a god???? If a god is me or in me, I'm making some not good decisions, I believe...but we don't know outcomes until all is said and done. I rant/vent about my surgery outcome. the doctor god goofed up.
Goodness. What a difference you look very very fit and years younger looking @Bobby Cole , we like to keep,fit by dancing ( ballroom ) and walking regularly but we will never be that fit
Dear @Julia Curtis I’ve been here quite a while as well …NO ONE …is treated any different ……if they joined way way back in 2018 when I did , or they joined today …Ask questions if your not sure about something ….We are all valuable members of this forum member….. we ALL have something to contribute …..I’ve never been in any deep trouble as yet …..well not that I’m aware of …. and just because we may been here longer than you it doesn’t mean we get any special treatment, …..…we are all here because we’ve found an interest in either the games section ..or cooking / what ever subjects take our liking …so don’t ever hesitate to ask if your not sure ..or just Jump in any thread that interests you and chat away ….. I’m not sure where you live ….but I’ll look at your profile latter …. .remember we are not all here at the same time cause I’m way in front of allot of you TIME WISE ….due to being in Australia …so right now it’s almost 7.30 pm in South Aust …on a Wednesday night ….. and just as an example ….i just looked up New Brunswick …it’s saying it’s 7 am on Wednesday morning if I’ve got it correct where you are? So now I’m going to ask some questions , have you posted what you like to do ..like gardening ( even if it’s just plants / flowers ) do you like going for a walk just to get some fresh air ( I like to when the weathers nice ) what your favourite food do you bake ? Like ……you know those yummy foods we need to be carful not to eat to many of……like cake / biscuits My husband and I like to do a bit of travelling but ONLY IN Australia ….not interested in long distance / over seas travel
