I just saw a dog mattress at Menards that I could snuggle up in with my seats down. Not sure it is a good idea in Wisconsin in the winter, though.
Most live in the mountains, or deserts now, campsites are very expensive now, if you can find one with vacancy. Illegals also took over many of those also.
Teresa, many people don't have these options, many lost their homes from taxes, insurance etc, all they have is SSI to live on.
My bus was the only possession I had that I think I actually loved. After I sold it I'd almost tear up seeing a 'Skoolie'. Skoolie.net has some really cool buses. I know how to rough it, so I'd be ok, as would Jake. I'd have to be where I could walk though.
We have one exactly like that. We camped a lot, and have lots of camping supplies. I never liked motels. Always camped on trips with kids, grandkids.
Lynda, for many it is sad, but for many others there are sadder arrangements. I'd rather be a modern hobo than to be slammed around, abused by employees or drugged up by doctors in some of these unsanitary nursing homes. Not all are like this of course, but many are for mid to low-income people. People don't care like they used to, and even then, it wasn't a lot of compassion going around but today its worse. Most don't take care of their parents like many of us did ours.
I'd rather live in my auto than deal with some people like these, Assited living, Look on YT you can find many of these horrible videos. nursing home.
