It must be spring in Massey as not only did I, but many have taken off their snow tires...
No more snow on the ground except the piles from winter cleaning..
The lawns are not fully melted yet but it is coming soon..
I wouldn't be surprised if we still get another snow storm, but with the "stay at home" order, who cares.... Let it snow !!!!!

Only essential services shops are open... however... I don't understand why the "Beer and Liquor" store is still open..
    Is that essential ???

Well, today is April 15th and as I write this post, it is snowing like it is the middle of January...
Yesterday it was 0c as a high and at night it went down to -15c along with high winds giving us a wind-chill of -25c..
Like i said, this is mid April....
So far we have about 5cms (2 inches) of snow and it isn't over...…………. yet …...

The snow is pretty much all gone by now.. Only a few small patches where the plow made a mound at the end of the driveway and that should be gone in a few days.. Still around the -5c to -14c at night and up to 3c to 7c daytime...
What we need is a warm day with rain to melt and clean up the area..

The frost is still here and many objects are bulging including the driveway, fence posts, patios, and just plain the land...
Another few days and the frost will be gone and everything will settle back down..

I know Massey is somewhat farther north, but here we are the 8th of May and they are still using the S word in the weather forecast..
Last night it was -8c with a stiff breeze and we actually had a wind-chill factor..
They are saying we are having an Arctic vortex which is a cold spell coming up for the next week or so.. They are calling for...……. SNOW ……. C'mon, this is almost planting season for seeds and bulbs...
What happened to global warming ????

I actually wanted to say when I was reading your post of 19 Apr that I knew there must be a difference between where I live and your country. I see this view confirmed now.;)
It also supports all findings of global warming as paradoxical as this may be at first glance. Normal weather cycles have been out of joint.
We are very likely to have to stand the third drought in a row. Unheard of for decades if at all. The consequences are becoming increasingly clear. Our woods are suffering tremendously.

We have a fear of forest fires if there isn't enough moisture in the form of both snow and rain..

lately we have been getting lots of May snow which is heavy and full of moisture.. Great for the environment..
We still need more rain but it should come at the end of May...
The water is very high in our rivers and overflowing its banks..
The wildlife is doing fine and roaming around looking for food.. Bears are everywhere and so are wolves and coyotes..

We had snow early this morning.. When I woke up the lawn was white but it didn't last long..
By 10:30am, it was all melted when the sun came out..

We had snow early this morning in Maine, too. Ours melted before it hit the ground, though.

    Ken...…
Is this the year that winter just won't go away ??
Do I have to plant more snow flowers instead of veggies ??

Look at how much farther north I am from you..
