ON Saturday we visited ST Albans Cathedral in St Albans a small city close to here it's ... .. It's the oldest Cathedral of continuing religious practice in England and was built in the 11 century and named after Britain' first Christian Martyr, who died in the 3rd century AD We've visited many times but what makes this one worth visiting also is that it sits in the grounds of a large park and lake area, and just yards from the medievel city centre.. so it's a very popular place to visit by locals and tourists... This photo I took a couple of years ago of the outside.... I didn't take any outside pics on Saturday because they're making some repairs and there was builders rubbish outside, not very picturesque, but this is one of many I've taken over the years, and it still remains looking like that ! So..the first picture is taken from 2016..and the rest were taken on Saturday....
I've got more, but I'm going to make a specific thread of my own in the photo thread because I want to show the lake and the Oldest pub in England , and the street market in this ancient Medieval town..
You'll find the rest of my pictures on this thread >>> https://www.seniorsonly.club/thread...mmers-end-the-last-2-weeks.13978/#post-370351
