Go to a qualified Audiologist to get hearing aids. You need to be properly tested and fitted to hear properly.
Yup. I'm the same way. After all, that's what insurance is for. Everything else is a Maintenance Plan. Good luck with the hearing aids. I agree with Lon's advice. If money is an issue, discuss it with the audiologist. You're not obligated to buy anything, and if nothing else, you'll have the professional data point as reference.
Well, I had a hearing test done by an Audiologist and used the results to buy my hearing aids online (gave a Rep my test results). Mine have a volume control, four different hearing programs and are rechargeable. They cost a whole lot less than an Audiologist office would sell and are very good.
Did you go to a real Audiologist or someone that does testing? You don't have to be a Audiologist to do hearing tests and recommend hearing aids.
