In today's rush we all think too much, seek too much, want too much and forget about the joy of just Being.”

    Remember ...... Jack Benny ...?????
He was 39 one more time for years and years..

Another way to explain senior years is.....
    I am 60, 17 instead of 77....
Like they say in French where there isn't a 70......

If somebody asks my age, I smile ever so sweetly and say, "Why, Darlin', why do you want to know?" It sounds much more ladylike than, "None of your $#@!#& business."

I find this thread fascinating....I have never had anyone ask me my age (unless I am getting a flu shot)! Being brought up in the "deep south", we were taught to never ask someone their age or how much money they have! Do people just randomly come to you in a store or whatever and ask your age?

I don't mind telling my age
    especially standing in line.
    When someone says Ms.
    an older person is behind.
No problem I say, I am only 68.
Sorry to brother, she is 59
    just turned birthday of late.

Upon first meeting me people generally ask me how tall I am and not how old I am. I don't mind responding to either question. I am curious about other people's age but don't ask upon first meeting.

Looks are deceiving and here at Assisted Living it is really hard to tell or even guess a resident's age.
Most of the 90 pluses look much younger and the 70ish group much older.

I believe that online, most personal details should remain confidential. Besides, who's to know what's real and what's "internet fantasy?"

I had a laugh one time in Canada I was in the LCBO that is where you can buy alcohol. There was a young man in front of me in the checkout line. The teller ask him for ID to prove his age then it was my turn he did not ask me. I told him that was discrimination why did you not ask me

On grocery deliveries, if I have beer or wine in the order the delivery person is required to ask for ID. It gets quite annoying but I understand they have rules.
