Here are the American Flag Guidelines, from the Farmer's Almanac, in case anyone is interested. Have a nice Memorial Day Weekend, Everyone. http://www.almanac.com/content/american-flag-guidelines
I agree with all of the flag rules except one. When I lived in the States, I flew my flag day and night! And this is why! The Star Spangled Banner Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight, O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave? On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved home and the war’s desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.” And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
I appreciate the military every day. The work they did in the past and the work they will do in the future.
Very, very proud of my 99 year old father who fought his heart out on Iwo Jima, and to all the other vets that keep our country safe. You go Marine.
