Out of curiosity, is there a PhD in journalism in the US? Since journalism is not considered a science, a PhD can't be awarded in many countries.
Ah, I see you can get a doctorate in those but that would be a D.L.A. and not a PhD. Interesting anyway. I didn't know that. PS: Had a look: a few universities in Europe run PhD programs in journalism yet often combined with other fields. Well, that's something. It seems to be getting more and more diversified.
It does but the requirements are hard enough and most certainly not harder than in natural sciences if we take a look at the recent development. Anyway, we are digressing...
A teacher comes to call on the family of Johnny, one of her students. Johnny answers the door. Teacher: "Hello, Johnny, is your mother home?" Johnny: "Nope, she ain't here." Teacher: "Well, is your father home?" Johnny: "Nope, he ain't not here, either." Teacher: "Johnny! Where is your grammar?!?" Johnny: "She done gone to bingo."
Thanks, @Bobby Cole. We had some interesting times. I will try to post on those times at a later date.
@Bobby, I want you to delete this hateful post! It should not be allowed on a respectable Forum such as this. Readers will remember this post because of your uncalled-for reaction to it. A mature person would not resort to writing with such rage! Harold
Trying to get it cranked up again, huh? There are 5 likes on that post from people who seem to agree with the statement. Rage? Nope, I rarely let being a little ticked off lead me to rage. Now, pull up your big boy pants and simply drop the subject. Plus,, you and I are both off topic.
