Ive only gone once or twice but my husband went every year for hunting. A lovely couple owned sort of small motel there and he became quite good friends with them.
I am fine with the variety of meats available commercially here in the states but I have tried most every wild game meat too. My ex-husband was an avid hunter. Sometimes I miss venison for it's lack of fat. It is amazing how well it cooks up in a stuffed steak recipe. Braciole was one of my favorite ways to prepare venison.
