OTOH, the new Capital One credit card commercial with John Travolta as Santa Claus is great - especially the version that shows him and Mrs Claus dancing ala Pulp Fiction at the end
All of the insurance commercials are like Seinfeld episodes. First they develop the characters to sell insurance, and now the commercials are about the lives of the characters and have nothing to do with insurance...many don't even mention it. TV is yet one more modern marvel that had been drug down to its most base application, and there it shall remain.
But...but...but...what do all those intertwined cultural references have to do with the merits of the credit card??? Although that raises an interesting question: What do Scientologists think of Christmas?
I hate everything about the Christmas commercial for a car company where the guy buys two huge vehicles for his girl and himself. "I love it!" But that's mine" "I love it". Just bugs me on several levels.
I mute all commercials..except one.. The Wild Thing...the little lady with pursed bird lips crack me up everytime.
