I'm on a roll. Got these from my oldest daughter today. So now I have lots of gorgeous flowers. (No power tools, though!!)
I have yet to set foot inside a Harbor Freight. They are real close to where I live. I shudder to think of how much I might spend. I'll take my car and leave the truck at home to self-impose a limit.
They will send you a sales catalog every month with freebies, and things you can’t pass up …….better head down there and see ! (Everybody can use free batteries, you know…..)
Traditionally, Mothers Day was the busiest day of the year for the restaurant industry. Wonder if that's still true??
I would think there's still gonna be people who are afraid to go out. A friend's wife--in her 50s--still will not go out to a restaurant because that's where you sit unmasked for an extended period of time around other unmasked people. To the extent that people believe we're all lepers on this bus, that certainly is maximum exposure. And with the required "distancing," "full COVID capacity" is around 1/3rd or less of what it is during normal times.
My youngest daughter (50) and GD are coming today. Have only seen them twice since last year! They do not live far from here but she she was adamant abut staying away until she was vaccinated. Hope to spend the day visiting and catching up with her,
My husband will pick up his mother and take her over to his sister's house for a family get-together. Since I'm under house arrest I will miss the festivities.
Plan on a quiet day at home with my SO. She won't hear from her only child, so I bought her flowers, etc.
I'm not doing anything special. Church will make a big deal out of it. They do the same thing on Father's Day.
We’re doing the Mother’s Day dining tomorrow. Without any doubt Mother’s Day is the busiest day for nearly ANY restaurant including Waffle House so Robin, Yvonne and I will go out for dinner tomorrow. We can avoid the long lines whilst giving Robin and Yvonne time to gab before Robin takes off for the Netherlands. As for today, mow our lawn, another property’s lawn and then we’ll probably hit the gym this afternoon. Yvonne can swim and I can throw around some plates for a full body workout as opposed to sectional training.
