My Dandy Blend just arrived, and I am trying my first cup of it. As expected, it does not taste like coffee, but it has a nice smell and taste, and is a little bit sweet, probably from the sugar beets they add into it. The smell kind of reminds me of gingerbread, or maybe just blackstrap molasses. The taste is very similar to Postum. I think that it will be a nice drink for later in the day when I do not want to have coffee, but I will probably still have a cup of regular coffee first thing in the morning, at least until it gets hot and I don’t drink hot coffee in the mornings. This will make a good kind of iced latte drink, too. And I will be helping my liver and kidneys when I drink it.
