Beth and Von, that happened to me and I'm just stubborn enough that no one, especially Microsoft is going to force anything onto my computer. When it happened I knew it was some sort of scare-tactic, maybe not even from MS. I couldn't get rid of it the conventional way, so I just hard-booted my system. Took care of it and it hasn't happened since. I admit I was a bit scared to do it that way, but I just had a suspicion about it not being on the up and up.
