We buy some candy, just in case, but kids quit coming by our house a few years ago. My first Halloween in Texas, I bought about $50 worth of candy, then had to make two trips to the store for more, spending about $150 before it was over.
Do all of you know that adults do the Halloween thing as well?? Adult costumes aren't cheap to buy, like my Darth Vader one, but can be really fun to wear....….as you can see by the kids that swarmed around me. Adults can drive their kids to different houses and/or apartment complexes for Trick or Treating. We bought a bag ($2.34) of candy yesterday.
Where is my spirit of Halloween, Halloweens past Decaying deep in the graveyard - where I saw it last I still have the spirit and buy candy by the bag But now with dentures, no costume for hag I eat all the candy, now checking my depleting stash Like Eastwood, the store I visit, with a fist full of cash
I dreaded Halloween with Pickles because of his non stop barking, so although I did buy candy(just in case) I didn’t put my house on the candy map on our neighborhood app. Also turned off outside lights...so far, people have respected that and nobody rang the bell. I live in a perfect subdivision for trick or treating though. All flat, houses close together ....easy to go from house to house and it’s a big subdivision. I always buy good quality candy that I like because I know I’ll be eating it.
Ah, Halloween is once again upon us. Lights on the porch will be off and some pretty massive thunderstorms are expected. Mother Nature and I are one.
