Gave my daughter-in-law an Aerogarden so then I had to buy a replacement... right?? (Dang sale just sucked me right in.)
I got an email from Teeccino (the chicory-based coffee substitute guys) that their prices are going up on Jan 1. So I stocked up on French Roast.
I just ordered a pair of shoes. During my professional career, I had over 100 pair. Yes, I was one of those.
My combat boots. Just kidding. Any shoes that were red. You know what they say about women who wear red shoes? They like bright colors. I can't think of any that were my favorites. I was more into clothes because other than a couple of suits, I sewed all my own clothes. A new dress just required new shoes!
A 9" covered casserole dish... A new OXO steamer basket... And a different model of the Cosori dehydrator...
Bought ready made bags for my food vacuum sealer , I just can’t get on with the bags on a roll they won’t “. Vacuum” then I said to hubs who’s was hanging around while I was trying to pack fresh meats , said maybe it’s worth trying to re seal the “ factory edges “ and that worked , but it’s allot of messing about , so. I ordered bags on TEMU 25 x 35 cm $9. 75 for 50
I did the math once and figured that there is no cost savings in making my own bags from the roll, and I often ended up with some waste because I cut them too short. I do keep rolls on hand for emergencies in case I run out of pre-made bags. I take it that the vacuum machine you got is working out OK?
Yes the machine is good @John Brunner it’s those bags on a roll that annoy me , I used some of the “useless” roll bags yesterday just to seperate lamb chops so I could put them all in a big zip lock bag …thanks for doing the maths on the roll v the bags I looked on eBay ( rarely buy on eBay now days ) but most sellers of the food saver bags have lotsa red stars , I’ve never had a issue with anything I’ve bought on TEMU so it will be interesting how good they are
I may have mentioned that I buy my bags online from Walmart or Amazon...it seems that the same sellers have accounts with both businesses. Regardless of whose bags I get I end up with the occasional (rare) bag that leaks down, whether the stuff is frozen or if it's kept at room temp. I recently grabbed a vacuum bag of tea I put up from a 5# bulk container a couple of months ago, and the vacuum bag (1 gallon) leaked all the air back in. There are 2 vacuum bags of tea left, and they are still holding their seal fine.
Well, let's see: a set of 4 Dryer Balls, rodeo type floor mats for our 2021 Durango, the movie Miracle In The Wilderness and baseball cap holder. Coming, vitamin supplements. Amazon makes money off of us and we have an Amazon Credit Card.
I’ve got almonds and walnuts in the cupboard that still looked good when I looked last ….. I believe I dated them so I’ll have to get them out of top cupboard and take a peek ….again I usually buy nuts by about a half kg ( loose at a huge fresh food / veg shop in the city ) the walnuts are from California @John Brunner
I awoke from a dream about inflatable tools to help level appliances. I didn't know if they existed, so I went onto Amazon with my kindle that I use as a reader and found these. I placed the order at 3 AM Alaska time. When they arrived over Christmas, I asked my sons and son-in-law if they know about them. All my sons were familiar with them and one had even used them before. SIL and I were the only males in the group who didn't know about them. The are pretty neat if you have some leveling to do.
