A service shop in East Millinocket used to store our snow tires or regular tires while they were not in use, so we could bring it in at the start of the snow season and again in the spring, and they'd switch them out. There was no extra charge if the snow tires were purchased there, so that worked out fine. However, the business is being run by his son now and they no longer do that.
I also have sensors on my tires.. actually I just purchased 4 winter tires mounted on steel rims and they are studded.. Yes, they have the sensors.. It was extra money for the sensors but what the heck, just do it.. my summer (all season) tires also have sensors.. For those that have winter tires, PLEASE make sure they put winter air in them and not summer air....
