Having listened to the 911 call and watched the body cam and security cam footage, it seems that things weren't what I thought they were going to be, but something is very wrong here. I had figured that the assailant was someone Paul Pelosi had picked up in a bar, but that apparently wasn't the case, given the video of his smashing the window, and he did indeed ask about Nancy, which gives some credence to the idea that Nancy Pelosi was the target. Paul Pelosi was clearly drunk out of his mind, and being out of his mind was probably a natural state for David the assailant. Still, the 9-1-1 call doesn't make any sense, nor does it make any sense that Paul Pelosi is opening the door for the police in his underwear and with a drink in his hand, standing next to the guy who has just broken into his house, who also seems to be in his underwear. Just before the hammer swing, it looks like Paul Pelosi is laughing. Something still smells here.

In the earlier renditions, they said that Pelosi’s attacker was only wearing his drawers but in the pic, he is clearly fully dressed.
Yeah, I read that someplace, too, but it's obvious that he's dressed. In the security cam video of him using the hammer to break in, his pants appear to be very light colored but it's a black and white picture.
From that photo description, "Pelosi fighting for control of the hammer"... wouldn't he put down the drink and get serious at some point? Maybe it's just me.
I didn't realize he was holding something, but yes, I was wondering too. We have no idea of his medical history. His left arm could be almost useless due to stroke, etc. He was in shock. Wouldn't you be? He's an old man, 82, and he behaved as such.
Dunno Lulu. Paul was picked up for DUI in August of last year so that stroke together with age, whilst they might have produced a small disability, wasn’t enough for the legal system to deny him his license to drive. And then we can’t forget that Paul and DePape had spent some time together before and after the 911 call was made which should have abated much of the shock. Note that our very own primitive system of fight or flight should have kicked in even when one is in a state of shock. I do get your point though Lulu. There’s a lot of questions to be answered and all we as the receivers of whatever spin the news wants to spill can do is “play” with what he hear and read. Let’s face it. None of our suppositions will make it to the big leagues but still, it’s a good way to spend a little time away from the bathroom and a lot more fun to boot. and…. anything that makes brain cells connect is always a good thing at our ages.
Looking at the video, I am wondering who opened the door ? You can see that neither Pelosi or DePape are near the door, and it does not look like it was kicked open by police either. One of the videos that I saw showed more of the window to the left of the door, and it looks like someone is actually standing behind the door, at least at first.
