Last couple days planes have been more frequent and closer to the ground from Jax, Naval Air Base. Hope nothing is up with all this practice.
During the 10 1/2 years we lived in JAX, Southside that is, we heard "fly-overs" a number of times. Didn't think nothing of it. It's called "practice runs" that they have to do.
There are practice runs and then there are practice runs in anticipation of conflict. There is a difference in frequency and maneuvers.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. If something is in the planning stages, nothing civilians can do about it. But, that is a big "if".
We stayed twice at a RV park in Virginia Beach that was right at the end of a runway for Oceana Naval Station. The fighter jets take off all day for practice and they'd take off so low you could see the pilots. It was thrilling. The sound of "liberty".
I understand the world has changed since the founders warned about outside interference, but I still don't see how Ukraine is our concern.
