I went to check on our local bird swap for spring 2023 and found this site. Last year the swap was cancelled by the government for bird flu and millions of chickens etc were killed. Very few cases were found in Wisconsin. Eggs here at aldis are $5.00 a dozen.
The date the new regulations are coming out is two weeks before our bird swap. People have to prepare to bring their ducks, chickens, rabbits and other small animals to show and sell at our swaps. The come from all over NE Wisconsin. Most are back yard breeders. Very few are large farms. Everyone may have to cancel their plans.
I am not going to register my garden this year even if they give me a plaque. The food shortage almost seems to be being orchestrated.
