Don't feel bad @Chrissy Cross I was sleeping by 7pm...then the fireworks woke me right before midnight but it was to cold to go sit outside and watch them. As soon as they stopped I went right back to sleep.
OH my Lord...7pm?..wow.. do you get up very early in the morning babs?...i couldn't imagine sleeping at 7pm, I'm such a night owl lol
WOW!! I couldn't get up that early CC...i'd be bored stiff, I couldn't find anything to do at that time of the day...plus I'd be up before my o/h who gets up at 5am for work... I've always been a night owl..even before I retired I found it difficult to be in bed before 10pm even though I had to be up at 5.30am..
I think I'll quit smoking. I haven't smoked since the early 70s, so that ought to be an easy one. I might even quit drinking alcoholic beverages too.
@Ken Anderson I have substituted "WILL" in my resolve, for "MIGHT", but it still remains to be seen............... Frank
I'll top you @Ken Anderson ....besides not smoking and drinking I'm also giving up sex. I'd really like to give up cleaning but I love it so much it would be impossible, lol.
Thanks, Chrissy. I'm not completely gone yet. Anyway, thanks. Funny, my wife told me "if you can dish it out, you'd better be able to take it". She's right. You ARE a nice person, we just have our differences and that's ok. Good Luck with your Resolutions. Even though we don't make Resolutions, we'd like to try and lose some weight, eat less sugary stuff and get our boat out more. It's very hard not to have a delicious Dunkin Donut at times, but every time we do, the sugar talks to us with tingling pain. As far as our boat goes, in-between bad Tide Times, summer rains, Tropical Storms, hurricanes and, of course, my wife working during the week, weekends is all we have for the boat.
Ive always been an early bird but there were times when I could stay up later but now just like you but in the opposite direction I get bored stiff at night since I'm up so early. I eat all my meals early, do my errand early, etc. also most activity online is early so by night time I'm ready to call it a day. At least I don't snack late at night, lol....think that's why I'm starving in the morning though. I eat my dinner around 4 pm and nothing after. Of course I eat all day and that why I gained 5 lbs. Actually more if I count my skinniest weight when I was watching the 3 grandsons 24/7 two years ago....that's the best diet...no time to eat.
Isn't it strange that most folks, when setting up a New Year's resolution(s), will vow to "quit" something instead of "start" something. In my most humble opinion, starting or being something is much more positive and would glean many more results. Example: "I am going to quit drinking" is trumped by "I am now a non-drinker". The same for smoking would apply. @Chrissy Cross said, "I am going to be a nicer person" which is MUCH more positive than saying I am going to stop being whatever. (which, I do not know what "whatever" is since her disposition has been almost angelic over the past few months) As for myself, I make no yearly resolutions but I do set positive daily goals. It is much easier to win that way and I like winning.
Well, don't try too hard, @Chrissy Cross . We need a little spice on this board and bland blonds are boring.
