LOL!!! I have three sets of good dishes too, if I could get rid of them that would take care of eleven boxes. The hardest part is getting started!!! "There is only one way to eat an elephant, a bite at a time." - Desmond Tutu Good luck!!!
Thanks, I'll need it! I don't know why I have such a difficult time getting rid of things...maybe I'm just lazy. I'm not a hoarder and except for one set, the dishes mean nothing to me and I know I'll never use them. I need to get my daughter here, she'll rid the house in a flash. She just never has time to come here. She'll have to do it when I die, might as well get a head start on it. Speaking of elephants...I have a collection of those also and my angel collection. The elephants are all in my linen closet...along with all the sheets, towels and tablecloths I never use, lol
Here is a pic of my linen closet...it's pretty big and it's full. I never even open it because I wash my towels and sheets and then put them back. Only go in there when I switch from summer to winter sheets. It's embarrassing.
There's two bedrooms ...one on each side of the linen closet that are never used....the doors are always closed...but the closets are full of I don't even know what anymore. If you walk in my house you would think it's very neat and uncluttered because it's all in closets or cupboards. I don't have a basement.
@Chrissy Cross, It's time to let those poor elephants out of the linen closet and send them off into the world! Pick a closet and begin sorting a pile for the trash, a pile for the charity shop, a pile to sell and a pile that you just can't part with today! Then in a few weeks go back and sort through the things that you just can't part with. In the long run, you will feel better and so will your daughter. Good luck!!!
Easier said than done but I'm going to do it...for sure this time! I'm feeling better these days with more energy....except for today. Ive been lazy today.
