What about ..if you want to ward off 7 years bad luck when you break a mirror , you must bury it face down in the garden..?

Maybe a little bit but I never had to bury a broken mirror. And how on Earth can you get a mirror face down???????? All twenty zillion pieces?

 

Cant remember what horror would happen if you cracked your knuckles.

 

No hats nor new shoes on the table. A death in the family for sure.

 

I think my grandma said shoes on the bed is bad luck. The only time I put shoes on the bed is when I'm unpacking shopping bags.

 

I know the answer to that. At least for me it made my knuckles freeze in my thumbs.

 

I think the claim was it made the knuckles larger or something like that. I remember my mother saying it wasn't "lady like."

 

My sister used to have a hissy if I put my purse on the floor beside my chair . She insisted that I pick it up immediately. She said it was bad luck. I often did it when she wasn't around and as far as I know, it never brought me bad luck.

 

Not sure about that.. purse should not be on the floor because the germs on the bottom of a purse is huge. Especially any public place. Then when you come home set on your table.
