@Sheldon Scott That Arkansas plate we saw today in the Edgewater Parking garage was not yours, I take it? Frank
Financially, not really painful at all for the water leak. I haven't got the final check from the insurance company yet but according to the adjuster's estimates I might get the full amount of the restoration. I do have $1000 deductible, but I had less work done than would have been covered. The water heater, car repair, dishwasher repair and the tire are all on me but those expenses are normal, not a major cost. They just all came at once.
Speaking of when it rains it pours - right out of your pocket is right. We just went through a lot of plumbing issues covering the kitchen sink, bathroom sinks, laundry sink and floor drains. The laundry sink was recommended to be replaced at an estimate of $600. Think I didn't put on my DIY thinking cap after the $600 dollars came out of his mouth. You better believe it. I was at Ace Hardware the next day and back again a few days later and moseyed on over to Lowes so I could pick some brains. Those guys know their stuff. The end resolve was the use of two coupling pipes and some Flex tape. There is a small leak when doing laundry but it goes right to the floor drain. I can live with that.
