I like the Pixelmator app so far . I mostly use it for effects and cleaning up photos, as opposed to actually making a drawing or painting on there. Now that I have been going through the old photos from my folks, I have been using it to make those old pictures more presentable, too. Some of them have scratches and other blemishes that the repair tool can fix almost instantly. Between Pixelmator and Aviary, I can crop, enhance, and edit most of the pictures that have problems, or just need the colors sharpened up again. I have looked at the tutorials for the Mac version, and while it does do more things, and is undoubtedly worth more money, the app does everything that I need for what I use it for.
@Yvonne Smith - I've just seen your picture above I much prefer your head on yer shoulders, you gave me a fright at one time - I thought Henry the 8th had been at ya ! Love the earrings too !
What picture are you talking about, @Patsy Faye ? I don't see anything that I posted with my head anywhere but on my shoulders, and it is definitely on there in the picture with the earrings .
I know - that's why I said I liked it A previous picture, couple of weeks back was just yer head, looked like it was on a plate probably wasn't on a plate, but that's how it looked Prefer this one
I have a friend at the fitness center who is thinking about getting an iPad for the first time, and we have been talking about the features that an iPad has. Since she is artistic, I wanted to show her what can be done with an Apple Pencil on an iPad Pro. there are lots of the iPad paintings on you tube, but most of them show the painting in a fast progression, so you don’t really get to see the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil as they are using it. I found this great little video of a Koi fish, and you can actually watch the artist drawing it on the iPad with the pencil. It is way beyond my experience level, but I really enjoyed watching it being done, none the less.
@Yvonne Smith Now I really really want one!! Maybe I'll save up the money and buy myself one for Christmas.
The new models of Apple devices are all coming out in the next month or so, @Bess Barber . The big annual Apple Event is on Tuesday, where they will display the new models, and then start taking pre-orders for those. Just like with cars, when the new models come out, the last years (and older) models will go down in price. If you are going to do artistic work, you need a model that can use an Apple Pencil, or at least that is much easier and it is designed for artwork. Except for the one my daughter got me, my iPads are older models I found on eBay or at the pawn shop, and amazon also carries used ones, and those would have a warranty; so whatever your price range, you should be ale to find an iPad that you like. You can also play music on your iPad and there are apps for a variety of instruments.
