I do that once I have it in sliced form and freeze that not used right away and yes I use it sliced thinly in sandwiches, diced in salads and casseroles and fried in a cooked meals, its very versatile hence my disappointment of being unable to purchase it ready made.

Could you use something like this and get a cover for each end? It could be microwaved then pushed out of the cylinder and sliced.

That would probably work Don as per the first suggestion in the recipe but at this point I am leaning towards the bean cans in the oven and snap on plastic lids once done for the first trial.... will report back in a coupe of weeks.
Meanwhile having Nutburgers (my recipe) for supper on the BBQ tonight in our unseasonable 28 - 30c temp

I recently tried some oat milk. I'm surprised at how good it is.

I recently bought some Bobs Red Mill nutritional yeast. Suppose to have some good nutrition value. Has a cheese nutty flavor. The order from Amazon came with two small bags, and will take long time to concubine. So am freezing it.
I have some in sprinkle bottle to use. Does anyone use this ? So far it seems good to me.

We have used it for years to flavor mashed potatoes. It would probably work for grits and other starches as well. It deepens the flavor and gives things a cheesy flavor as you said.
