Do they have photos of him in the car that was prowling or at the time of the murders? I don't understand that finding his car at the scene proves he was the one inside.
I had heard that his phone had pinged from that neighborhood several times, but, as for the car being seen at the scene, it was originally reported as being a different year than his, which would certainly be understandable, but it does indicate that it wasn't his car, specifically, that was reported, but one like it.
There are videos from security camera showing his car going up and down the street and nearby street on the night and timeframe of the murders. I don’t know if they can identify him as the driver or not. But between the car on video and the phone pinging from near there, it seem likely that it was him driving. The tape of the traffic stop in Indiana is kind of strange, too. Also, they want a lot of miles out of their way, maybe to miss the toll roads where there were cameras.
Seems like all the evidence is circumstantial so far, so I hope the cops have something more they aren't sharing.
From Yahoo today: Bryan Kohberger, the criminology Ph.D. student accused of ambushing a group of University of Idaho undergrads in November, allegedly sent one of the four victims a series of private messages on Instagram before the slayings, according to a new report. "He slid into one of the girls' DMs several times, but she didn't respond," an unnamed investigator told People. "Basically, it was just him saying, 'Hey, how are you?' But he did it again and again." So yeah. Loser stalking a pretty girl and gets rejected story.
