I've surfed into it every once in a while. People have told me that I would like it. I guess that speaks volumes to my "sense of humor."

My mother was British. I've been around lots of her friends, and have worked with some Brits. The vast majority are as House..."passive aggressive" is the term. To wit:

My brother-in-law (Joe) was a fat man. He and my sister were visiting from out of town and one of my mother's British friends was at the house. Joe was laying on the living room floor on his back with his infant son laying atop Joe's stomach. My mother's friend (having never met Joe before) looked at him and said "The baby thinks he's on a water bed."

Now, on the one hand it's humorous. On the other hand, who in the heck does she think she is???

Every smile is at the expense of another human being.

I love humor that makes me laugh so hard I cry. Robin Williams and Jonathan Winters could do that. Also loved Paula Poundstone and Jackie Mason. Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, and Vicki Lawrence on Carol Burnett were hysterical.

Steve Martin makes me giggle at just his appearance. Dick Van Dyke would pull one over on you.The very talented Lucille Ball. Abbott and Costello would make you think as you laughed. And probably too many to remember. Agreed with Conway, Lawrence & Burnett. I know that I am missing many.

Surely you don't really mean this. And if you do, my condolences.

I didn't really find my type but I like humor in books and personalities on video.

Lewis Grizzard being my favorite. I understand his southern humor being ,both of us are from Georgia.
I also like Brian Regan and Greggory on video.

Your prior comment caused me to search for Lewis Grizzard. I had not heard of him. Poor bugger lead a short life. Heart defect and 4 marriages finally did him in at the age of 47.

Rodney Dangerfield was self deprecating. Topical, wit and observational would be George Carlin for sure. Surreal would be Monty Python which I just watched. Bodily is low brow to me. Slapstick would be The Three Stooges which I loved as a kid but not so much now.
