And when the students have kids of their own, and the kids ask 'What did you study in college?' they'll have to reply: 'I learned how to decide which bathroom to use...'
Given the latest events of U.C. at Berkeley I would say that the university has found itself in a state of definite decadence. Lauding an educational institution based upon what it used to be rather than what it has turned into is likened unto the proverbial ostrich with it's head buried in the sand. It is indeed very disheartening to find that U.C. will teach students about the ethics and political ramifications of doing what comes natural (using the john) but does not teach it's students about their first amendment rights regarding the fact that ALL Americans and not Some Americans are endowed with the God given right to free speech. They believe that as students they have every right to protest and voice their opinion and deny someone else the same accord. In this case, a speaker was hired by the university to lecture but instead of the students opting to either attend or not, a group of them protested, chanted slang slogans, and destroyed private property until the speaking event was called off. I am extremely sure that teaching the constitution of the United States (along with a possible degree) is far more important than teaching students who gets to wee-wee where.
And it would be worse yet if they ever have to present their transcripts- not so long ago, students worked hard to earn an "A' in their classes, now all they need is a "P"
Uh........I think the liberal and art technique is traditionally reserved for men and often practiced in the snow.
