No, unfortunately there is no story behind him @Ted Richards .. I would love there to be..but no, all I know is that he swims alone in our little river among the Mallards and the moorhens... and seems to be fighting them off quite often . he's half the size of a mallard but he can sure hold his own... I feel so sorry for him, I wish he had a mate... @Shirley Martin ....oooh I hope you enjoy painting him... I have another one of him hiding in the reeds after one of his scuffles with the mallards.. I'll see if I can find it..
That's neato! I tried it once with a grandson many years ago. Still have a few of the faded ones in my yard, think my lawn guy is afraid to remove them, lol. Most of the paint is gone. I should just throw them out. I see some neat things done with rocks on Pinterest....
My granddaughter told me about this. You paint a small rock with something cheerful and hide it where somebody can find it. When they find it, it's supposed to make them cheerful. Then they hide it for somebody else to find. I think it's something they are doing on Facebook. When somebody finds one, they are supposed to post a picture of it on Facebook then hide it again. Since I don't have a Facebook account, I'll just hide mine and hope they cheer somebody up.
Oh, the flowers are so pretty! The couple with the rocks has a heart shaped rock at the bottom. I collect heart shaped rocks.
